THE HARPER AND THE MINSTREL
Well Met dear friends, both new and old, we thank thee heartily for accompanying us on our delightful musical adventure!
We are The Harper and the Minstrel. Creating beautiful music together is not only our livelihood, it is our passion. We simply love blending our smooth vocal harmonies with a sonorous background of Harps, Flutes, Recorders, Penny Whistles, The Bowed Psaltery and the Guitar to create a sound-scape that is truly our own. It is a wonderful odyssey through beautiful airs and sultry ballads, lively jigs and bouncy reels, not to mention quite a few songs of our own composition which we are thrilled to share with you.
We truly thrive on playing all manner of music, so our sets move easily from traditional Celtic to Medieval to Renaissance to Baroque. We have found that this broad variety of styles and instrumentation is not only a joy to play, but also consistently ensures that audiences of all ages thoroughly enjoy and appreciate our engaging performances and, if we do say so ourselves, our considerable talent and musicianship.
